ETSY.COM & LABOKOFF

For those of you who may not be familiar with Etsy.com, allow me to introduce you. Etsy, these are the four people who read my blog, four people who read my blog, this is Etsy!

Etsy is “your place to buy and sell handmade” and is an incredible online resource for affordable art. It is especially valuable for sellers who may or may not have a developed business by making their art easily accessible with little overhead. My favorite items to search are art prints and hand-screened cards. There is also a certain level of customization for the buyer since most sellers are making their items made to order, not mass produced.That said, my favorite Etsy artist of the moment is Labokoff, a Paris-based photographer/painter. Her work is original photography mixed with painting, which produces a dream-like appearance. I am a huge fan, and am trying to decide between Paris (custom-ordered without the star), La Mer, and Orage (also without the star). Suggestions?
