LOYAL LOOT LOG BOWLS

I have seen and loved these log bowls multiple places before but none as lovely and well photographed as these by Loyal Loot Collective. Wow. I would like the dark grey, dark orange, and dark turquoise please. Thank you. {via oh joy}

LIZZIE FORTUNATO JEWELS

Since coming across Lizzie Fortunato jewelry in the September 2008 Harper's Bazaar, I have been taken aback by the brand's fun, vibrant style. Made with 1920s poker chips from Uruguay, their La Punta necklaces are my current favorite. {All images from Lizzie Fortunato. SPAIN...ON THE ROAD AGAIN

I was so excited to watch this series last weekend and then promptly missed it. Thanks Black Eiffel for the heads up that it is free for download on iTunes. {Image by Moises Saman for Food & Wine September 2008. Via Black Eiffel, one of my new favorites!}

ORK POSTERS

I have been a huge fan of Ork Posters (the one-woman print shop of Jenny Beorkrem) for a while now, ever since picking up the San Francisco poster for DB's birthday last year. I was thrilled today when I saw, in addition to her new NYC print, that her news ticker stated Seattle is coming soon. Finally an Ork poster that hits closest to home!.. unless of course Santa Barbara suddenly hits the radar. {Images copyright Ork}

YEE-HAW INDUSTRIES

Yee-Haw Industries is one of those well-branded letterpress companies whose name couldn't be more befitting of its style. I first picked up one of their fantastic cards from a paper shop in San Diego a while back, and am now happy to see that they have a very successful, featured Etsy shop open filled with cheeky country-western slogans and fonts. {Red Initial Letter and Large Woodgrain Speciman Sheet by Yee-Haw. MUSIC MONDAY

To help you get through the depressing financial news of the day, I thought it would be fun to share some music I have been loving. I have been on a bit of an iTunes spree lately, and at the top of my list right now is Santogold, who is not for everyone but is for me! Watch her design-friendly video for Lights Out below, and listen to Creator when you can... And I am drooling in anticipation of Jenny Lewis' Acid Tongue, which comes out next week. Love her.

{Also, while I think most everything about the VMAs was pitiful, I must say Kanye West's Love Lockdown performance was pretty amazing.}

THE BIRD AND THE BEE

Lately I have been listening to The Bird and The Bee non-stop, all their songs. I may be a little slow to the draw on this one, but if you haven't given them a listen, you should!! They are perfectly quirky. {click here}

PORTSMOUTH VERNACULAR MAP

Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. The weather has been far too nice. This award-winning Portsmouth Vernacular Map by Jodie Silsby has inspried a come back. I love maps.... and though I have never been, Portsmouth is very near and dear to my heart. {via design boom}
