SBIFF

Though I haven't been involved with the festival much this year as I have in the past, I am so excited that tonight my friend Mark is featuring his documentary The Making of Minutes to Midnight in the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Hope to see you there! {Click here for details}

LIGHT LOVE

I do so wish this light by David Abad from DAB did not cost thousands of dollars, because I really like it.

PLATED

Lately I have been loving the trend of plated walls. These are a few of my favorite examples of well-placed plates. {From top: Lisa Congdon, Hable Construction (both via Design Sponge), from Living Etc., from Gourmet Magazine via This is Glamorous}

BLOGGER'S OFFICE

I love this window display, called Blogger's Office, created by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan, the co-creator of Apartment Therapy. It is part of Apartment Therapy NY’s Big Window Challenge at Bloomingdales, which seems like a very cool project. I would work in there!

THIS IS NOT A VALENTINE

Okay, so I know it's not even February yet and I promise to, despite all my girly desires, limit the amount of Valentine posts that come across this blog... but I saw these on Poppytalk and love them too much. {by Michelle Brusegaard - a great etsy shop}

SANDRA JUTO

I like Sandra Juto’s photography. A lot. She shoots a lot of light, text, and streets, which are very much my style. She lives in Sweden, she travels, she has a cute man and a cool blog. I think we could be friends. {photographs copyright Sandra Juto}

MOROCCO STYLE

Taschen is one of those publishing houses that consistently churns out colorful, glossy coffee table books. At $10 a pop, their well-compiled Icon books are a great little source for inspiration. I just picked up this one, and love the shapes, colors, and patterns... and now want to travel there more than ever! {author: Christiane Reiter, editor: Angelika Taschen}

JAMIE PACKAGING

Given my aforementioned love for Jamie Oliver, it should come as no surprise that I am quite taken with the packaging of his products, especially these sea salts. I first spotted these on oh joy and think they would make the cutest gifts! {Images and designs by Pearlfisher for Jamie Oliver}

ORLA KIELY FOR TARGET

I have seen this a few places now, but am so excited to learn that Orla Kiely will be releasing a line for Target in February. I love her pear pattern and am hoping that there will be some stationery in the mix too... {via sfgirlbybay and apartment therapy}

VINTAGE GRAPHICS

This week I found some fantastic vintage graphics around the web. {Left: vintage travel brochure from Travel Brochure Graphics, via swissmiss / Right: Portsmouth Football Club - Match Day Programme from this cool book, via Hollister Hovey}

ALBUMS OF THE YEAR

In my only attempt to recap the last year, I thought I would share the albums that I would deem as my personal favorites of the year. If you haven't had a listen, I would (obviously) recommend them all! {All photos via Amazon}

JAMIE MAGAZINE

One of the new things I was so pleased to see on my trip to the UK is that Jamie Oliver now has a magazine, Jamie, which just released its first issue. I can proudly say that it was my boyfriend who first turned me on to Jamie Oliver a while ago, and now I'm hooked. I completely love his recipes and for the first time ever, I really enjoy watching a cooking show. {Images copyright Jamie Magazine Dec 08/Jan 09}

JANUARY

This year I managed to receive two lovely little calendars from those who know me best... My usual Cavallini vintage calendar (have you seen the farmer's market one?), and the adorable double-sided one above from Egg Press. {Images copyright Egg Press}

I have so many blogging ideas backlogged up in my mind that I hope I am able to get them all out and post a little more this year. Looking through all my saved images from the year, I realized that I posted just about half of the ideas I had intended to. May need to start a Tumblr account to get them all flowing....

Also, I wanted to say a huge congratulations to my good friends Lindsay and Raan, newly engaged!!
