TINY TEXT

Paloma's Nest etsy shop is chalked full of tiny text pieces—all of which are handmade by one woman shop Caroline Colom Vasquez. I especially love her shop motto, "do small things with great love." {I am also a big fan of her hangers...}

BRING HOME THE BACON

Saucy little cards by Alicia Peck of BellaMuse. Also available in various sized giclée prints.... wouldn't these look clever up in a kitchen? {Bonus: If you're in New York, BellaMuse has an art stand on weekends in Soho.}

ACE HOTEL

Have you heard of Ace Hotel? Originating in Seattle, the affordable boutique hotel has sprouted outposts in Portland, and most recently New York and Palm Springs—all to rave reviews. I have yet to visit one, but judging from their killer website and relevant concept, my guess is that they will do quite well among the savvy young travel set.

ROSETTE

I just discovered the etsy shop of Miss Ruby Sue and can't get enough of her rosette creations—often made from "upcycled" and vintage fabrics. Don't they look amazing?

ASTROLOGICAL

Astrological signs still seem to be popping up everywhere in jewelry, and when they're done as well as these, they are tough to resist! {Top: pendant necklaces by Elizabeth Cole (just $43 each!), bottom: zodiak rings by asha by ADM}

WEEK END

Have a lovely weekend...

A little pick me up from THE TING TINGS.

First it was Deadliest Catch, then Man vs. Wild… now I am hooked on THIS SHOW.

Have you seen this FONT app for the iPhone?

Twitter is the new excuse for POOR GRAMMAR. (Although in THIS CASE it’s so bad it’s good.)

I would really like THIS OUTFIT.

And, a huge thanks to SUNSET MAGAZINE for including me in their March issue as one of their favorite blogs!

SPRING

I love this cheery image from the back of last year's Conran catalogue... just feels like spring!

UPPERCASE

UPPERCASE has an amazing collection of typewriter ribbon tins on their flickr site... makes me want to go exploring in my grandparents' closets!!

FILIPPA K

Filippa K's ad campaigns for their S/S 09 line are so simple and lovely. I love how they convey that moody feeling of elsewhere...

TRAVEL BUG

It happens sometimes and it can be pretty tough to shake once it starts creeping in... especially when you're trying to save money! But, the past few weeks Europe has been on my mind and I have developed a travel bug. I keep thinking of the Paris in these polaroids by Jen Gotch (who also just snagged a Real Simple cover!).

LYIE VAN RYCKE

LOVING these simple necklaces created by Lise Ferreira, the designer behind French jewelry line Lyie Van Rycke.

NANTAKA JOY

Still loving these notecards by Joy Deangdeelert Cho, the designer and blogger behind Nantaka Joy. Right now 30% of the proceeds are donated to First Book, which helps provide books to children of low-income families.

COLD SHOULDER

A little music for your Monday... have you heard Adele?!

KINDLING SHOP

The brother and sister team behind Kindling use reclaimed wood and some simple creativity to make some pretty amazing pieces. Their Etsy shop is small but mighty and has become one of my favorites. (Their wood stumps below would also make a pretty great DIY idea!)

PINNED

I love these fun flower hair pins from Handle & Spout that Joanna Goddard is planning to use for her bridesmaids. In an uncharacteristically dramatic change, I just got bangs, so I'll have to wait until my hair grows (hopefully in time for summer!) to try these beauties out.

NEUTRAL

Always the first color palette I am drawn to. {Top to bottom: moodboard via helles interiørblogg/photo by Trine Thorsen, by Kråkvik & D'Orazio (both via here), Venice on Film by Ryan Wynn via this is glamorous}

HELGA

I am not easily seduced by new gadgets, which is perhaps why I haven't jumped on the iPhone party bus. That said, I have become quite taken by the Camera Bag app (along with the iLeica app, the quad camera app, etc...), which enabled my boyfriend to take these wonderful pictures around Santa Barbara this weekend... with his cell phone.

SOPHIE CUVELIER

I have become entirely smitten with the garlands of French artist Sophie Cuvelier. Her website is so fun to flip through, with installations that leave you feeling that there really isn't a situation that doesn't call for garlands! {Available here}
