Speaking of stones...I can never seem to get enough of the rock/mineral/agate trend and love these quartz (quartzes?) from Junior Geo...

One of the stops we made in England was to visit David's Grandmother in Brighton—a city on the south coast that I quickly fell in love with. We walked along these chalk cliffs (near the lovely little village of Rottingdean) right as some hefty clouds were rolling in... we managed to beat the rain and grab some beautiful views. I also loved all of the stones (which are white on the outside and dark blues on the inside) and managed to sneak a few back...

First they wowed me with their axes, and now Best Made Co. has created these beautifully designed hatchet-sized pocket axes... anyone else feel like chopping up some kindling for a campfire?

Out of all the photos submitted to The Sartorialist's vintage photo project, I have to say that this one taken in the 1940s in Yakima, Washington (submitted by Lisa Warninger) has to be my favorite... the woman on left is completely timeless.

I am a big fan of Vampire Weekend and love their cameo-filled video for Giving Up The Gun... just makes me smile every time.

Whenever I travel I am always appreciative of a really comfy pair of flats. I can't wait to try out this pair by Marais USA... not only are they super cute but are also a great price... {Image from Marais}

I'm back from England after a fantastic trip and am only starting to get reorganized and recoup some sleep... but in the meantime I thought I'd share a few of my polaroids from London. No matter how much film I bring it never seems to be enough!

How beautiful are these photographs by London-based photographer/blogger Tommy of This Is Naive? I am off to London myself this week and her blog has definitely helped with the inspiration! I'll be visiting London and around England to see David's family... and my parents are joining in the fun too. I'm looking forward to the museums, the architecture, the shopping... and the fish & chips! Any recommendations on what not to miss? {Images by this is naive}

Wowsa, I have a serious blog/food crush on Ming Thompson of Ming Makes Cupcakes...not only do all the recipes look incredibly delicious, but I really appreciate the clean and simple layout of her site. (She's also been to Yale... and Harvard to boot!) Can't wait to give her recipes a whirl. {via iartu}

They may be slightly off-season, but I am a little obsessed with Ken Diamond's moccasins, which are all handmade in Vancouver, and had to share... especially this pair called Koko Marshmallow. Yum!
