Lately I have been listening to the music of up-and-coming Annie Bethancourt, and wow does she have a voice. Her album is called Three Hundred Suns and I especially like the feisty Dead Men Are Heavier Than Broken Hearts and the gospel track Glory, Hallelujah (I've Got Nothing)... beautiful. {Gig poster by Kristin Casaletto}

How cool is this Tracy Kendall cutlery wallpaper? Her wallpapers (some of which are 3-dimensional) are so different to any I've seen...

KITCHEN LOVE

I have had these images of Laura Aviva's kitchen saved for a while... I love the look of the dark charcoal walls and the wooden countertops. {images via design sponge}

HOMELOO
One of the most well designed everyday items I've seen in a while is this wooden LED alarm clock... available for just $28 from homeloo. I have been looking to replace my alarm clock (the bane of my existence) and think this little guy will be perfect. Now if only it could turn me into a morning person... {via svpply}
AMPERSAND
I am loving the very simple Ampersand Tumblr, which is basically just an ampersand a day. A click on the ampersand leads to the typeface. My kind of blog. {via iartu and swissmiss}

RAE DUNN

I'm not sure how I missed Rae Dunn's beautiful handmade ceramic fortune ornaments around the holidays...but am so happy to have found them now. Her entire shop is filled with perfect little hand-stamped ceramics...

MAST BROTHERS CHOCOLATE

Recently The Selby, the spot for lifestyle photographs of some of the most intriguing subjects, took a visit to Mast Brothers Chocolate in Brooklyn. I loved the peek into their factory, where the chocolates are handcrafted from cocoa beans that are roasted in house...and packaged beautifully to boot. {Images by Todd Selby}

RINCON
I am so excited to share today's print from 20x200... a beautiful photograph from my neck of the woods by Ian Baguskas entitled Rincon Artificial Island and Pipeline. I drive by this site often (it's just south of where I live) and feel he has captured it perfectly. Before this week of crazy storms we've been having, it was a week of some of the most beautiful sunsets... {View Ian's portfolio here}

CONTRA
Vampire Weekend is back with a brand new album, Contra, and I have to say I think I love it even more than their first. Their sound is so unique, and I especially love the African influences... {Have a listen on their site here. And track down the bonus tracks if you can.}

RIO

This week I have been living vicariously through Garance Doré and the Sartorialist, who have been in Rio de Janeiro for Brazil's fashion week. I was fortunate enough to travel to Rio several years ago, also in the full heat of January, and have to agree 100% that it is a very magical place... one of the most unique places I have ever traveled. The site of Corcovado and the view from Sugar Loaf Mountain alone make the city spectacular. {Top two images by Garance Doré, bottom image by the Sartorialist}
CUPCAKES & CASHMERE
Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere will be adding some new pieces to her etsy shop on Monday... and judging from the preview, it looks as though it will be full of some beauties! I love the bright blues and purples...

DEEP FREEZE
I found this NASA satellite image of the British Isles, taken last week, to be quite amazing... the entire nation under snow as they have had one of the worst winters in a while...
Also, I don't usually post about current events on ink & post, but I find it impossible not to be moved by the current situation in Haiti and would encourage all those who are able to make a donation to do so... every little bit helps!

JESSICA HELGERSON DESIGN
I keep coming back to the beautiful interior shots of this Portland home, designed by Jessica Helgerson and featured on Design Sponge a while back. I love the idea of using large tree branches in a home and think they are used particularly well in this space. {Photographed by Lincoln Barbour}

1973
I love all the colorful wrapping papers of NineteenSeventyThree...especially their russian doll paper (and their owl paper)!
LETTERPRESS
I hope that Darling Dexter's bright blue letterpress went to a good home...what a beauty! I can't wait for the day when I have space for my own 1. washer & dryer and 2. letterpress machine.
LEON SEASONAL FOODS
I think this seasonal food chart by Leon restaurants of London is very well done. So well done in fact it is sitting on my fridge as we speak. You can download and print out the full chart here. {via lifehacker}

MOKA
In all the hustle bustle of the holidays, I never got around to writing my third holiday gift guide: for the home. So, instead I'm hoping to share a few of my recent favorites now that we're into the new year... like this Moka print by Swedish illustrator Sandra Juto. Perfect for fika lovers... and the kitchen.
